Who are the investors in CITIC Capital-managed funds? Is CITIC Group the only investor in your funds? When we started the firm in 2002, the seed capital in our funds came exclusively from CITIC–related entities. However, CITIC–related entities now represent less than 20% of our total capital under management – the vast majority of our capital now comes from blue-chip institutional investors in the North America, Europe and Asia. 3. Who makes investment decisions at CITIC Capital? CITIC Capital manages 13 different investment funds with total capital under management in excess of US$1.6 billion. Each fund is managed by investment professionals with deep experience in their respective areas of expertise. Our investment managers independently make all decisions related to fund investments.
